MAGA 2024? In Interview, Trump Discusses If He Will Run In 24. Insists Gov. DeSantis Will Not

Even though the 2024 elections are still 3 years out, tens of millions of Americans are chomping at the bit to vote for former President Donald J. Trump again and are always looking for positive signs from the “Trumpster”.

Mr. Trump who just raised an estimated $1 billion dollars for his social marketing company which will feature the Truth Social App, is also actively commenting on and staying in the news with sound bites indicating he is leaning towards yes for a second run to be the nations Commander In Chief.

The never Trumpers and far-left strategists appear to be calling for Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to run too, hoping his entry into the 24 GOP presidential primaries would cause in-party fighting with the 2 very popular men dividing up a majority of the delegates.

During a radio interview with Florida radio host Brian Mudd, former President Trump was asked about his plans for 2024 and his thoughts concerning Gov. DeSantis entering too.

Mr. Trump throughout the interview insisted that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis won’t run in 2024 but did comment on both the 2024 race and Desantis’s 2018 gubernatorial victory.

In the past, Trump has said that if both he and DeSantis run, he thinks DeSantis will drop out. However, that’s not because he thinks DeSantis lacks talent or would lose, but because avoiding a fight would be good for the party.

Here is the interview:

“I do think if I run, he won’t. I know they try and create friction. I don’t think it exists at all. It might, you know, you never know. If he wanted to run, that’s OK with me. I think we’d win by a lot. But he’s good. And he’s done a good job as Governor.”

What is clear, based on Trump’s comment to Mudd, is that Trump thinks he would defeat DeSantis rather easily; “If he wanted to run, that’s OK with me. I think we’d win by a lot.”.

Based on recent polls, Trump has a substantial advantage with two-thirds of the GOP wanting Trump and only 13% of the GOP preferring DeSantis to Trump.
